About Brian Levenson
Brian Levenson believes in building relationships by collaborating with his clients so they can develop a process that leads to optimizing their opportunity to win moments, maximize potential, and enjoy success.
Brian is a mental performance coach, who developed an innovative program, CORE Mental Training, to help athletes maximize their mindset for performance. He has worked with a wide range of athletes in the following sports: basketball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey, synchronized ice skating, wrestling, softball, swimming, lacrosse, rugby, tennis, and golf. Those athletes are a diverse population of amateur, high school, college, and professional athletes. The CORE Mental Training program now serves those beyond the playing surface, as Brian also coaches students and tutors on test taking, executives on best business practices, and others in a number of fields.
Brian is a dynamic speaker. Whether speaking to teams, businesses, or at country clubs, his Win the Moment concept helps people connect with what matters most. He has given presentations for a number of organizations, including Club Golf, the Mid Atlantic Golf Association, Woodmont, Springfield and Bethesda Country Clubs, TPG Sports Conference, The Inc. Business Council, Private Prep, Strength and Performance Training, Explosive Performance by Sport & Health, DRT Strategies, American University Athletic Department, and with many high school, college, and professional sports teams.
Brian also works as a consultant with professional and Division 1 sports teams. His Prepare to Perform program combines speaking and coaching to help build team cohesion, develop mental toughness, and build championship culture. The program is holistic in nature as he works with front office, management, and players to maximize potential. Additionally, as a consultant, he assists in the interview process for the NBA and MLS combines. While interviewing players, he evaluates mental strengths and weaknesses, and creates a detailed player profile for selection purposes. In addition to the evaluations, he also provides an action plan on how to best help the player succeed at the next level.
Brian obtained his Masters in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, completing his thesis on home court advantage in the NBA. The research provided him the opportunity to interview NBA players on the differences between playing at home and on the road. That experience helped form a foundation for his work with clients on the challenges of transitioning to new environments. As a coach, Brian believes in working with the client to continue to strengthen their strengths and to turn their weaknesses into strengths.
